My name is Jim Chase. I am one of the over three hundred million people that make up “We The People.” I’m just an ordinary person no better or worse than anyone else. Throughout my life I have tried to do everything I can to support my family, to help as many people as I can and to participate in this government on a local, state and national level. I vote in every election. I’ve spent my entire adult life raising my hand, asking questions and doing what I can to help my community. I have run for public office. Sometimes I have won and sometimes I’ve lost. Regardless of the outcome I have always tried. I have volunteered to serve on committees, local boards and wherever else I believed I could positively contribute. My wife and I have six wonderful children and presently twelve grand children. My wife and I taught our children the difference between right and wrong and the importance of getting involved in your community. I believe we did a good job. We are not perfect but we always tried to lead by example. I believe our children are now doing the same.
I created this website because I believe that our elected officials and the political machines that the elected officials are part of have strayed miles and miles away from what this nation, our constitution and the founding fathers had in mind. Most of all, I believe that “We The People” is not just a quaint phrase. It means something. If fact, it means everything. “We The People” is all of us not just the ones who seem to think they have the power. The power rests with all of us and it’s time for us to make sure the elected representatives understand that they are only in the position because we put them there. It’s temporary and “We The People” have the right and duty to change our elected officials when we believe it’s time.
